I loved having this fun family in the studio!

Miss F.’s newborn session took place when she was 12 days old and big sister, Miss A, couldn’t wait to proudly introduce her to me.

For their first family photos as a family of 4 they chose to have their session on the backdrop of my studio set and I just loved how their photos turned out. For families with older children the bed set tends to be a lot of fun and is a great way to capture those beautiful candid moments while everyone is still getting to know one another. This backdrop is perfect for cuddles, quiet moments together, and for families who would like more of a lifestyle feel to their session.

This fun loving family cuddled up together for their first family photos while we chatted and I quickly learned what a great sense of humour big sister A has, I can already imagine all of the great fun these sisters will have growing up together.

When Miss F first arrived for her session she really did not want to miss out on the fun and preferred to try to stay awake in my warm and cozy studio. I find this fear of missing out on the fun is often the case when I’m photographing second borns, they just seem to know they’re the only ones sleeping through something exciting. I was able to lull Miss F back to sleep for those sweet photos of the girls together and with her parents but by the end of the session she was again alert and wanting to join in on the fun.

For a 12 day old she was very alert and interested in everything that was going on around her which allowed for me to capture her beautiful, bright eyes. She already has such a wide variety of facial expressions!
