A rainbow baby is a baby that is born following a miscarriage, stillbirth, neonatal death or infant loss.  In the real world, a beautiful and bright rainbow follows a storm and gives hope of things getting better” (Source: Kicks Count)

A very special thank you to Avery’s mom and dad for sharing their story with all of us.

“Our journey began in the summer of 2014. We were delighted to learn that we were expecting! We joked about the due date being April Fools day! Sadly that pregnancy wasn’t to be. In fact that pregnancy resulted in a ruptured ectopic pregnancy resulting in emergency surgery where I lost my right Fallopian tube.
Between January 2015 and May 2016 we needed up having 3 “chemical pregnancy “ these are the worst! Tests come back positive but no implantation actually occurs.
Then in June 2016 we learned we were officially pregnant again. My husband and I being so use to disappointment didn’t get our hopes up since our history was against us. Turns out we’re we’re right in doing so. 3 weeks later another loss was confirmed. Thankfully my life wasn’t in danger this time.
After that loss we started the painful process of going to fertility doctors. This process wasn’t fun for us. Having being told the safest way for us to conceive would be via IVF.
But out of blue 3 years to the day we took our first pregnancy test we learned we were expecting again! We were absolutely terrified! We held our breath for until we had our first ultrasound and saw our miracle baby!
We continued to hold our breath week after week. Everyday worried that things were going to end.
We are still in awe that our baby girl Avery, though born 3 weeks early is a happy healthy little girl! We are so very blessed and happy to be able to share our story with the world.
We want couples to hang in there. Dreams do come true!”
