Do you want to learn how to use the manual settings on your camera?  Do you want to improve your photography skills?  This five week hands-on workshop will cover the following topics:

  • Understanding the basics (shutter speed, aperture, ISO, white balance)
  • Shooting Modes: Manual, AV and TV
  • Using light (natural and flash)
  • Composition of photos
  • Tips and Tricks for photographing children, pets, landscapes, and important life events

The course is 5 weeks long and our group will meet for 1.5 hours every week from 7-8:30 pm in my Orleans studio.

This course is intended for individuals interested in learning to use their DSLR camera.  It is not for experienced photographers or individuals interested in learning to start their own photography business.  It is a requirement to own a DSLR camera and participants are encouraged to purchase a 50 mm lens for their camera (although this is not a requirement).

The workshop is hands-on and there will be homework assigned each week.  I will check-in with participants throughout the week in our private Facebook group to give feedback on images and answer any questions.

Class space is limited to ensure an optimal learning environment for all participants.
